All children are welcome at Redeemer. Church School is held from 10:00-10:45 during the school year.
The younger classes are combined (Pre-K and K, 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th) and they are learning about Jesus’ life from birth to ascension with engaging art, music activities, and games with the Dig In curriculum. They also learn about Episcopal traditions and beliefs.
Grades 5 and 6 have a different curriculum and engage in interesting discussions about God and Jesus, building a firm foundation for their faith before entering the Journey to Adulthood program for Redeemer’s youth. The class named itself STBT (Soon To Be Teens) and enjoys “Mystery Trips” outside of Sunday School on a monthly basis.
Other Christian Spiritual Formation opportunities for children include:
Redeemer Activities for Children (REACH) for 1st-4th Graders with seasonal activities, such as Trunk ‘n Treat, Advent and Lenten workshops, and field trips
Multi-generational activities, such as making Advent Wreaths
Chanco on the James for summer and/or winter camp
Vacation Bible School (VBS) in June
